More 3D printed quad frames

I got some Solutech black PLA from Amazon and made a few more frames. The first is a quad in X configuration but with the geometry moved around like a deadcat. Looks more like a deadfrog. That square cutout up front is for the FPV camera. I broke the front 2 propellers testing it out, Gemfan 5030 triblade props are super fragile:(

3s, Emax 2300kv motors, 20a ESCs, Naze32 Mullet FC, 5045 props.

Here it is next to a regular 5″ prop 180mm frame:20150825-002426.jpg

This is a cool one, a 4″ deadcat type. Mini Naze32 board and LemonRx sat receiver mounted on a custom plate, 12a 4-in-one ESC from ReadyToFlyQuads, and 1306 3100kv motors. I used an online calculator to figure out the motor mix. 20150825-002948.jpg
Here is the frame next to the 5″ 180, the front arms are a bit wider, and back arms much narrower, the 4045 props just barely clear eachother.

Also working on a poor man’s ground station, printing a mount to hold an RC305 and a battery, as well as a place to hang my DIY goggles. I’ll do another post about those.

3D Printed 180 Mini quad with 5″ props

Actually 182mm. The frame is Dremel Blue PLA. 6mm thick.

Motors: Emax 1806-2280Kv
ESC: Armattan 20A w/BLHeli
FC: Armattan Naze32 Mullet

3s for now but I think all the parts would work with 4s. It has a ton of kick no matter what but it is especially fast with a 50g 450mah 50c.

20150816-191406.jpgI added some rear lights to help when it gets a bit too far away. I haven’t tried FPV with this yet.

20150816-191418.jpgThe 1600mah battery fits perfectly. Lucked out there.
